Mae was the daughter of John & Maude Stephenson Smith, and the wife of Cecil Thomas Buckner.

She was a retired practical nurse and a homemaker.

Mae was survived by her foster son and his family; a brother, Hollis Smith of Newport,
TN; and other extended family.

Services were held graveside on Thursday, November 12, 1998 at Locust Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
