FAIRBURY - Miriam Feldman, 89, a resident of the Fairbury area for 81 years and retired storekeeper, died at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 17, 1990) at Lowell (Mich.) Medical Care Center. She had lived at the care center for the last eight years.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Apostolic Christian Church of Fairbury, church ministers officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.
Visitation will be from 2:30 to 4:30 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
Mrs. Feldman was born Feb. 4, 1900, at Forrest, a daughter of Samuel B. and Louisa Kuehner Hirstein. She married Fred Feldman April 28, 1929, at Fairbury. He died Jan. 13, 1974.
Survivors include two sons, Lyman, Alto, Mich., and Fred, Kenilworth; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Seven brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.
Mrs. Feldman was a storekeeper in family-owned businesses in Fairbury, Hirstein Variety Store and Fred Feldman & Sons Clothing Store. She retired in 1971.
She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church of Fairbury and a former member of the Fairbury Chamber of Commerce.
Memorials may be made to her church.
