JOHN HENRY BRUMBAUGH

of Roaring Spring, R. D. former road supervisor for Taylor township for 12 years, died at his home Monday morning at 12:30 o'clock after an illness of two years. He was born March 17, 1879 at King, Bedford county, a son of James D. and Susannah (Gochnour) Brumbaugh, and moved to the Cove at the age of 10. He was married Oct. 9, 1902, at Martinsburg to Alice Isenberg, who preceded him in death in 1920. Mr. Brumbaugh was a blacksmith by trade. He was a member of the Brethren church of Roaring Spring where he taught a Sunday school class for a number of years. Surviving are two daughters, Cora Mae Brumbaugh, at home, and Mrs. Anna Lotz of Duncansville; three sons, Ralph W. of Roaring Spring, R. D., Fred W. of Roaring Spring and Floyd R. of Martinsburg. A son Walter, died in 1936. Also surviving are five grandchildren, one great-grandchild and three sisters and one brother, Mrs. Margaret Bush of Altoona, Mrs. Sara Walter and Jennie Brumbaugh, both of Claysburg, and Albert G. of Altoona. A brother, Charles Brumbaugh, died two weeks ago in Canton, O. Friends will be received at the home after 7 o'clock this evening.

BRUMBAUGH-Funeral services for John Henry Brumbaugh of Roaring Spring, R.D., will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Brethren church in Roaring Spring in charge of Rev. H. Q. Rhodes. Interment in Fairview cemetery, Martinsburg. Friends will be received at the home after 7 o'clock this evening.
