KASPER
Joseph Donald Kasper, son of Joe and Viola Kasper of Derby, was born at Colfax, Iowa, September 5, 1937. He unexpectedly passed away following a massive heart attack at the Lake of the Ozarks Hospital, August 18, 1985, at the age of 47 years.
He was married to Donna Crawford, December 1, 1957, in Osceola, Iowa at St. Bernard's Church. He lived most of his life in rural Lucas County where he was engaged in farming around the Derby area.
He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Besides farming he loved being in the Ozarks, deer hunting and golfing and especially being with his family. His grandchildren were very special to him.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Donna; his four children, Kim Trembley of Derby; Tammy Kunch of Chariton; Dan of Des Moines; and Nick, still at home; two grandchildren, Kyla and Clint Kunch; son-in-law, Ron Trembley; special friend, Mike Cox; his parents, Joe and Viola Kasper of Derby; a sister, Jolene Bonney and husband, Scott of Ankeny; and many more relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 21, 1985 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The service was conducted by Rev. Michael B. O'Meara and brother-in-law, the Rev. Gary R. Dillow. Interment was in the Calvary Cemetery in Chariton.
Pallbearers were Danny Cobb, Bob Crawford, Lewis Hickok, Dave Myers, Ed Shanks and Jim Snook. Honorary bearers were Bill Howell, Bob Hunter, Paul Sheldon, Ed Shovlain, Kenny Sponsler and Dave Woods.
