Mrs. Zela Bennett, 94, died Friday, December 15, 2000 at the Beaulieu Convalescent Center in Newnan.
Mrs. Bennett was born July 16, 1906 in Newnan. She was a homemaker.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 17, 2000 at the McKoon Funeral Home. Dr. James DuBose will officiate. The burial will follow at the Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Bass Bennett and two daughters, Mrs. Clestell Talley and Mrs. Jewell Williams.
Survivors include her sons, Donald H. Bennett of Statesboro, Ga. and James C. Bennett of Rome, Ga; and daughters Betty Canady of Newnan, Ga. and Katherine Douglas of Winnsboro, S.C.; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
