Richard Wichmann Dies At Hospital

Richard E. Wichmann, 60, Rt. 1, Clintonville, died Wednesday evening, Feb. 8, at the Clintonville Community hospital after suffering a heart attack earlier at his home.

Mr. Wichmann was born Nov. 10, 1900, in the Town of Pella. He farmed there until his marriage to Miss Ahlie Papendorf on May 21, 1933. The young couple made their home in the Town of Grant until 1946 when they moved to the Town of Bear Creek. Mr. Wichmann was employed at FWD corporation from 1942 until 1951 when he retired because of his health. His wife preceded him in death on July 1, 1958.

Survivors include one daughter, Joanne, at home; three sons, Wayne, Sheboygan; Richard, Clintonville; and Arlo, at home; four grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Ella Beltz, Mrs. John Conrad; and Mrs. Esther Koeller, Shawano.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at St. Martin Lutheran church. The Rev. Luther Strasen officiated, and burial was in Graceland cemetery.

Pallbearers were Raymond Blanke, Armin Kortbein, Walter Klemp, Ervin Schlender, Vernon Kluth and Lowell Korb.

The Eborhardt and Hoh Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
