Gareth Anderson passed away on November 29, 2006. He was born the son of James Kirkman and Violet Susanna Syrett Anderson on March 31, 1910 in Kingston, Utah. He married Georgia Elder on September 20, 1932 in Panguitch, Utah. They were sealed on January 25, 1934 in the Manti Temple. Gareth was an avid gardener, loved sports, especially watching JAZZ basketball, enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his family. He was active in the LDS Church serving in various positions over the years. He served a mission with his wife at the birthplace of the Prophet Joseph Smith in Sharon, Vermont from 1975 to 1977. They also served as temple ordinance workers in the Ogden Temple for five years. Gareth is survived by his two sons, Rlynn (LaRee) Anderson, Theo (Eda Bee) Anderson, daughter, Beverly (Franklin) Spencer, 25 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great-grandchildren and sister, Velma Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, four brothers, three sisters, one daughter, LuDeen Alvey and two sons-in-law, Ray Alvey and Franklin Spencer. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 2, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main. Friends and family may call Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
