The body of Miss Maude Phillippi who passed away at Lincoln, Neb. Sunday, was brought to Morrill Tuesday and laid to rest in the cemetery there. Funeral services were also held at Morrill attended by many relatives and friends of this community.
Miss Phillippi was born at Morrill. She was a daughter of Aaron Phillippi, who at one time worked in the Hughes Store at Sabetha. During the years of his employment here, the family resided in Sabetha.
For fourteen years Miss Phillippi has been employed in the George Peck Dry Goods Store in Kansas City, during that time she and a friend Miss Clara Cook, with whom she attended school at Morrill, have kept an apartment together.
Five months ago when her illness proved of a serious nature, she was taken to a hospital at Lincoln, Neb., so she would be near her relatives. Death Sunday came as a relief from intense suffering.
Surviving are her twin brother, Claude Phillippi of Lincoln, Neb., and a brother Glen Phillippi of Idaho. Her parents died many years ago. The deceased was a cousin of Dennis Phillippi of Sabetha.
Mr. and Mrs. Claude Phillippi, and daughter and son, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Phillippi, and Mrs. C. H. Hunter of Lincoln came to Morrill for the funeral.
