Addison H. Nordyke, Sr. 86, Oaklandon, IN., died July 28, 2005. He retired as a machinist at Indiana Gear Works in 1984 with 50 years of service. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.

He was the widow of Betty J. (Summers) Nordyke. Survivors include his daughter, Terry J. Straub; sons, Addison H. Nordyke, Jr. and Michael H. Nordyke; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

Services: 11:00 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1, 2005 at Flanner & Buchanan Washington Park East Funeral Center, 10722 E. Washington St. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral center. Burial: Washington Park east Cemetery. Contributions: Humane Society of Indianapolis.
