Mary Elizabeth BLOUGH KENDALL was born in Somerset county, Pa., Oct. 9, 1861, died at her home at Morrill, Kans., Oct. 26, 1934, aged 73 years, 17 days. At an early age she moved with her parents, Philip and Mary BLOUGH, to Lanark, Ill. Her very young years were spent about Lanark, Ill., Waterloo, Ia. As a very young girl she expressed her faith in Christ, united herself with the Church of the Brethren. That faith she held until death. At Lanark, Ill, Oct. 7, 1878, she was married to George KENDALL. To this union 11 children were born: Daniel, Albert, Philip, Effie, John, Flora, George, Naomi, Rachel, Grace, Geneva; Albert and Philip having preceded her in death. She was a dear wife, a kind mother. She had many friends , was often called Mother KENDALL by them. She leaves her husband, 9 children, 20 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 4 sisters, 1 brother and a host of neighbors and friends Funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. Paul S. LONGENEKER, assisted by Rev. Herman ENGLE, at the Church of the Brethren at Morrill, Sunday, Oct. 28, at 2:30 p. m. Interment in the Morrill cemetery. --The Hiawatha Daily World, Tuesday, October 30, 1934
