Pugh, Frederick Graham "Fred", "The Virginia Fisherman", 86, of Vinton, died Monday, July 18, 2011. He was born December 7, 1924 in Floyd County, son of the late Posey Glen and Eursula Dickerson Pugh. Surviving family includes his wife, Flora Spence Pugh; daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Dicky Patton; grandson, Richard Patton; granddaughter, Tina Pino and husband, Greg; great grandchildren, Merritt and Trevor Pino, Sarah Patton and Emily Souverns; sister, Lena Leighton and husband, Wilbur; special friends, Tim Roberts and Rodney Brown and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at the Lotz Funeral Home Chapel in Vinton with Pastor Brian Geiser and Rev. Allison Burnette officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church in Vinton.
