Services for Ada I. Murphy, 85, who died at the Zartman nursing home, Michigantown, Monday at 6:10 a.m. of complications following an illness of several months, will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Goodwin funeral home.
The Rev. James Y. Brown will officiate with interment in Whiteman cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Born Jan. 30, 1870, in Boscobel, Wis., she was the daughter of William and Myra (McAdams) Williams. In August, 1890, she was married to James H. Hale, who died in January, 1907. Her second marriage was in September, 1907 to John Murphy. He passed away in May 1923.

She was a member of the Michigantown Christian church and active in Red Cross. Since 1907, she had resided in Michigantown. She was the widow of a Civil war veteran.

Surviving are a son J. W. (Dick) Hale, Dayton, O., a daughter, Edith Kaufman, St. Petersburg, Fla., five grandsons and ten great grandchildren.
