Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at E.F. Drum Funeral Home, Lincolnton. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
A native of Ransom County, N.D., he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having made military service his career, and served in Korea and Vietnam.
Survivors include a son, Larry Dean Schronce of Lincolnton; four grandchildren, Christopher Lee Schronce, Gene Schronce, Jackie Garrison and John Devin Black; and four great-grandchildren.
