Thomas served in the Confederate Forces for two and 1/2 years. He was a prisoner of war. He was discharged from service at Camp Chase, Ohio the 13th day of June 1865.
Jun. 7, 1928, Southern Aegis: T. J. Mize of White Wright, Texas, died on May 23, 1928. He was 85 years of age last March 20. He was the oldest son of Mitchel Mize, and L. M. Mize of Odenville is the only child left of seven children. Mr. Mize left Alabama years ago to make his home in Texas, and has been a constant reader of the Aegis for years.
