Hazel M. Hamilton, 72, of Collinsburg, died Monday, Nov. 2, 1992, in Jefferson Hospital. She was born Feb. 25, 1920, in Collinsburg, a daughter of the late Peter and Marie Philipp Backstrom. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in West Newton, and a member and past matron of the O.E.S., Miriam chapter. She was a member of the West Newton Senior Citizens Association and the Rostraver A.A.R.P.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George B. Hamilton. She is survived by a daughter, Marcia Christ of Pleasant Hills, and a son, Neil Hamilton of Collinsburg.
Friends will be received at the J.W. McCAULEY FUNERAL HOME INC., West Newton, Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. Services Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Christ Lutheran Church with the Rev. Allen R. Riethmiller and the Rev. William E. Oesterlin co-officiating.
Interment in West Newton Cemetery.
