Mrs. Edward McKelvey, 66, passed away at the Spencer Hospital May 13 after being in failing health for the past 10 years.

She and her husband have been residents of Lusk for the past seven years, moving here from Van Tassell in 1942.

Funeral services were conducted from the Peet Chapel Monday afternoon, May 16, with Rev. Lawrence P. Juell officiating. Mrs. H.J. Templeton and Mrs. A.F. DeCastro sang "In the Garden" and "Sweet Bye and Bye" accompanied by Mrs. J.P. Watson.

Interment was made in the Lusk cemetery with the remains being carried to their last resting place by the following friends: Frank Martin, Geore Heckelbeck, Ed Lewis, Ed Brown, Harry Baldwin and L. Heller.

Edna R. Peden was the daughter of E.D. and Mary Ann Peden, and was born April 22, 1883 at Cozad, Nebr. At the age of 14 years she became a member of the Christian Church and grew to womanhood in Cozad where she was married to Edward McKelvey on March 1, 1901 and they were the parents of seven children. One son died in infancy.

The family moved to Wyoming in 1921 and homesteaded in the Van Tassell community where they continued to live until moving to Lusk in 1942.

Survivors include her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Peterson of Van Tassell, and Mrs. Patricia Carlson of Arminto, Wyo., and four sons, Ralph and Mike of Lusk, John of Douglas and Harlen of Van Tassell.
