Mrs. Algie Ray P. Cox, age 76, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, October 6, 2012, following an extended illness.

Born July 6, 1936, in Johnsonville, Algie was the daughter of the late Lurie P. and Christine Hatchell Poston. She was a graduate of Johnsonville High School and a member of Rehobeth Pentecostal Holiness Church. She served as church secretary of Kingsburg Pentecostal Holiness Church for 40 years, and taught Sunday School. She enjoyed taking care of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and was always positive and cheerful.

She was predeceased by two sons, Chan Cox and Daryl Cox; great-granddaughter, Kalyn Erin Lee; son-in-law, Rick Grier; 3 sisters; and 1 brother.
