Joan Laverne Palmer, age 79, of Houston, Texas passed away on October 5, 2012. She was born October 10, 1932 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Thomas and Dora Chapmond.
Jo was preceded in death by two sons, Kim and Randy Palmer. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Bill Palmer; Children, Rick and wife, Gail Ruth; Dennis and wife, Bonnie; Daughter-in-law, Kim Taylor; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; and numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.
Jo retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 30 years of service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Memorial Hermann Hospice.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 9, 2012 from 5-8 PM and a funeral service on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Garden of Memories.
