Betty Tiller Smith, age 76, of Richmond, VA, died on Saturday, December 1, 2007.
She was born in Glen Allen, VA, the daughter of the late Boyce Carroll Tiller, Sr. and Mollie Claytor Tiller. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Smith.
Betty Ann was an investigator with the E.E.O.C. for approximately 15 years, and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by three children, a son, Forrest Melton and his wife Jean of Glen Allen, his children, Sarah, Rebecca, and Andy Melton, and his granddaughter, a daughter, Brenda Smith of Powhatan, VA, and son, James R. Smith of Chester, VA; and three siblings, Katherine Martin, and Norman Tiller, Sr. both of Richmond, and Dianne Nikolaisen of Coles Point, VA.
The family will receive friends at the J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Chesterfield, on Wednesday, December 5, 2007, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will follow there on Thursday at 2 p.m., with interment in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. Casual attire is welcome. Flowers are welcome, or memorial contributions may be made to the Glen Allen Baptist Church.
