Daniel C. Achtzehn Daniel C. Achtzehn, age 79, of McKeesport, formerly of Mountain View, CA, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2005 in Riverside Nursing Center in McKeesport. Retired as a sailor with the U.S. Navy, after twenty-three years of service, serving in World War II, Korean and Vietnam wars, he was also a furniture salesman for Lucky Stores in Mountain View. Born September 13, 1925 in West Newton, he was a son of the late Carl A. and Lillian Coughenour Achtzehn and husband of the late Vera Roseburrough Achtzehn. Surviving are nieces, Brenda Nicora and Lillian "Jodi" Crosby of McKeesport, Nancy Capane of Elizabeth Twp. and June Byrne of Florida and a nephew, Michael Wilps of Ohio. There will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 12th in the chapel at West Newton Cemetery with Rev. William Heaton officiating. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home, 4504 Walnut Street, Versailles, PA 15132.
