Combined rites planned for Ann, Paul Ritchott
CHICOPEE - Ann B. (Gawron) Ritchott, 70, first president of the Chicopee Lioness Club, died Wednesday in Mercy Hospital, Springfield.
Her husband, Paul L. Ritchott, 70, died Monday.
Both had been hospitalized at the same, but in different rooms. A spokesman said she was not told her husband died.
Mrs. Ritchott was communicant of St. Stanislaus Church and a member of American Legion Post 452 Auxiliary.
She had worked for the Albert Steiger Co., in Springfield, Spalding Corp., and at the former Uniroyal Co.
Her husband was a Chicopee golf commissioner and Board of Health member.
They are survived by a son, Kenneth; a daughter, Dolores Pietras, both of Chicopee, and a grandchild. In addition, she is survived by two brothers, Frank and Fred Garow, a sister, Adeline Kapinos, all of Chicopee.
A combined funeral wil be today at Grise Funeral Home and in the church with burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
