There isn't a tombstone for him at the cemetery, but in the past, his wife's tombstone was set in concrete and space was left to the right of her stone for his name. His information has been etched by hand in the solid concrete pad and is very difficult to read.

It says:

John J. Collard (in cursive writing)
Born Sept. 7, 1817
Died March 22, 1874
Born in Christian Co. Kentucky


The date "May 23, 1914" and the initials "L.C." are also scratched into the concrete pad and must be when it was poured.
