Born on Jan. 26, 1893, in Woodburn, Mr. Lindsay was a U.S. Army veteran of World War I. He moved to Lake Oswego about 50 years ago.
He retired in 1958, after 40 years with Standard Oil Co. During retirement, he operated the L. H. Lindsay Nursery.
His memberships included the Oregon Camelia Society; the American Camelia Society; the American Rhododendron Society, Portland Chapter; Lake Oswego Methodist Church; and The Old Timers Club of Standard Oil.
Survivors include his wife, Cora; a son, Don R. Lindsay of Lake Oswego; and four grandchildren.
