Funeral held for H. M. Adams
Granite Falls, August 12, 1947
Funeral services for Hardy Monroe Adams, sixty-three, of Granite Falls, who died at his residence Saturday evening following a long illness, were conducted at Concord Baptist Church at three-thirty o’clock Monday afternoon, with Reverend Mr. Roberts officiating. Burial followed in Houck’s Chapel cemetery near Hickory.
The body lay in state at the church from two-thirty until three-thirty o’clock.
Mr. Adams born in Watauga County June 24, 1883, a son of John and Nancy Robbins Adams.. He is survived by three sons, one brother, two sisters and three grandchildren.
