MRS. ANN S. VANEK
Mrs. Ann S. Vanek, 78, of Victoria, died at 11:40 p.m. Thursday at a local hospital following a short illness.
She had lived in Victoria since 1935 and was a former resident of Briggs. she was born on June 17, 1906, in Okalla, the daughter of the late Silas and Alice Shelton.
Mrs. Vanek was a member of the Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at McCabe-Carruth Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. John Redfearn will officiatie.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Joe A. Vanek of Victoria; a sister, Mrs. William Clistia of Vidor; a step-brother, Dayton Shelton of New Mexico; and one grandchild.
