OBITUARY NOTICE - Cornerstone Funeral Home
SIEGMUND FIEDLER, of Lethbridge, AB, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at the age of 72 years.
Siegmund is survived by his siblings; Lydia (Alfred) Betke of Coaldale, and their children, Evelyn, Dave and Rose (Stephan) Sharko as well as Trudy (Dick) Krueger and their children Danny (Tanya) and Michael (Janice). Uncle Siegmund will also be fondly remembered by Cadence, Taya, Jayda and Tyson Krueger.
Born in Germany on April 10, 1936 Siegmund lived as a refugee with his family until immigrating to Canada in 1952. Upon his arrival in Canada, he settled in the Picture Butte area, later moving to the Readymade area.
In 1967 Siegmund and his brother Julius began farming in the Grassy Lake area, retiring to Lethbridge in 2004.
Siegmund will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. Funeral Services will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Carl Bogda, officiating.
Interment to follow in the Mountain View Cemetery.
