Marilyn Jean Gilman, age 75 of Manistee, passed away on Tuesday October 2, 2012 at home.

She was born on December 30, 1936 in Manistee, daughter of the late Leo and Elizabeth (Janiszewski) Adamski. She attended St. Joseph High School, and graduated with the class of 1955.

Marilyn worked as a seamstress at the Glen of Michigan, and then also was employed for many years as a nurse's aide at the Manistee County Medical Care Facility. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening, sewing, dancing, flowers and going to yard sales.

Marilyn is survived by her sons, James Gilman of Kalkaska and Daniel (Mary Wilkosz) Gilman of Manistee; daughter Monica (Dave) Boettner of Mt. Pleasant; and five grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday October 5, 2012 at Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Manistee with Father Sylvestre Obwaka officiating.
