St. Albans: Patricia "Patsy" Maureen Terrien, 55, died unexpectedly Sunday, September 30, 2012 at her home.

She was born in Burlington, November 11, 1956, daughter of the late William Oliver and Jean Alice (Murphy) Terrien.

Patsy graduated from Burlington High School in 1974 and then attended Castleton College. She was a self-employed caregiver and an advocate whose compassion was helping people who could not help themselves. Patsy will also be remembered as an animal lover.

She leaves her sister; Sarah Riseden and her husband, Douglas of Burgaw, NC, two brothers, John "Andy" Terrien and his wife, Marianne of Colchester, and Thomas Terrien and his wife, Lori of Huntington, two nephews, Ben and Nicholas, seven nieces, Kayla, Meg, Molly, Anna, Katie, Jessica and Emily, an aunt and uncle, William and Wilma Dempsey, her friend, Betsy Whitaker for whom she provided home care for over twenty five years, several cousins plus many friends and acquaintances.

Patsy was predeceased by her father, William in 1980, her mother, Jean in 1998 and a nephew Matthew Terrien in 2008.

In honoring Patsy's request services will be held at the convenience of her family.
