The Muscatine Journal, October 2, 1905. pg 6.

The obituary is listed in the What Cheer, Ia news column.

Charley Williams and wife, of Cedar
Rapids, and Mrs. Mae McChurch, of
Des Moines, have been at the bedside
of their mother, Mrs. J. G. Williams,
the past week.
Mrs. J. G. Williams, after an illness
of about a week's duration, died at
her home here Wednesday evening
at 8:30 o'clock, aged 61 years. Funeral
services conducted by Rev. Kelley
at the Presbyterian church Saturday
forenoon.

This is the obituary of my great great grandmother. There are two mistakes in this obituary. Listed in the obit is the name of son -in-law Charley Williams his surname should have been written as Smith. His wife's name, which is not listed is Hattie M. Williams Smith. She is the daughter of the deceased. The second mistake was listing the name of the deceased as Mrs J. G. Williams. The obituary should have had the name Mrs. G. J. Williams instead. The deceased's name was Mary Crandall Williams. Her husband's name was George J. Williams. Hopefully this will clear up any confusion.
