Paula Kay Phipps, 61, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 22, 1951 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Dale Warren Lamberson and Lucille Francis Flusche Lamberson. Paula grew up in Muskogee where she attended Central High School. She met and later married Jodie Edison Phipps III in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Paula was a member of York Street Christian Church. She loved life, family, friends, and God. She especially enjoyed her grandkids. Paula enjoyed cooking, gardening and tending to her flowers, especially roses. She always did more for others than she did for herself.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale Warren and Lucille Lamberson; her husband, Jodie E. Phipps III; her sister, Phyllis Hans. Paula is survived by her sons, Jodie Phipps and wife Jennifer, Grant Phipps; her grandchildren, Jodie Allen Phipps, Emma Phipps, and Leah Phipps; her brother, Warren Lamberson, all of Muskogee; her sisters, Karen Beall of Tomball, TX., Inez Hughes and husband Bill of Hulbert, OK.; and her nieces, Tina D. Hans of Muskogee, Stephanie Rayston of Dunnville, KY., Julie Mitchell of Tishomingo, OK., Shannon Hughes of Hulbert, OK., Sarah Beall and Tiffany Beall, both of Tomball, TX.; her nephews, Larry Beall II of Nacogdoches, TX., and John Beall of Spring, TX. Interment will be at Greenhill Cemetery in Muskogee.
