Pioneer Woman Dies At Butte County Seat After Lengthy Illness
Belle Fourche, S. D., July 9
Mrs. S. W. P. Sellers of this place died Saturday after several years of ill health. The funeral was held at the home Monday. Mrs. Sellers was one of the pioneer residents of the country, Mr. Sellers being on of the first county officials of Butte county at a time when the county consisted of an area something like 150 square miles, extending from the northern foothills of the Black Hills to the North Dakota line, and from the Wyoming line to the reservation on the east. He has held various offices at different times since. Mr. and Mrs. Sellers have been for many years among the best known and most respected citizens of Butte county.
