BRANTLEY, BILL BOWMAN - age 80, of Knoxville, passed away, October 1, 2012. He was of the Baptist faith. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and retired from Knox County Penal Farm.

Preceded in death by wife Helen C. Brantley, second wife Barbara N. Baty, parents Lonnie and Rhoda Brantley.

Survivors: daughter, Melissa Stooksbury; grandchildren, Brandon Stooksbury, Brad Stooksbury, Baylee Stooksbury; step sons, Carl Baty, Tony Baty and a host of step grandchildren; brother, Duward Brantley.

Family and friends will meet, 9:15 a.m., Tennessee State Veteran Cemetery Governor John Seiver for a graveside service at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, Rev. Charles Lynch officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City.
