William Henry Larimore (seen as spelled Larrimore, Lairemore, Lairmore, etc.) was born out of wedlock to Lucinda H. Lairmore/Larrimore/Larimore (1825-1885?). His father was listed as unknown on his death certificate. His surname was spelled as Lairmore on his death certificate.

William married Zilpha (birth name Zilphia?) Elizabeth Young (1856-1926) on 10 Oct 1875 at Forsyth County, North Carolina. William and Zilpha were the parents of ten known children, namely:

1. James Israel Larrimore (1878–1944)
2. Mary Sue Larrimore Marshall (1880-1971)
3. Carrie May Larrimore Linville (1881-1928)
4. Dora Elizabeth Larrimore Whicker (1882–1956)
5. Mattie Agnes Larrimore Warren (1884–1939)
6. Pluma Larrimore Hester (1887–1958)
7. Robert Franklin Larrimore (1889–1963)
8. Lula O. Larrimore Linville (1891–1969)
9. Charles W. Larrimore (1893–1900)
10. Daisy Maude Larrimore Pyrtle (1895–1927)

Did some of the children use alternate spellings of Larrimore? In 1900 Zilpha said she was the mother of 14, 9 living. But this probably doesn't include Mary, who was married and living out of the household in 1900. Thus 10 children were living in 1900. In 1910 Zilpha still said she was the mother of 14, 9 living.

Links to William's mother, wife, all ten of his known children and only known siblings are included below. Find-A-Grave contributor Isabel kindly found the missing children and had the maintainers of their memorials link them to William and Zilpha.

Suggested edit: William Henry Larimore was born out of wedlock to Lucinda H Larimore, he also had a brother or half brother named Sterling Adams Larimore b.1856–d.1926. The name is correctly spelled Larimore , it traces all the way back to James Larimore , a revolutionary soldier . So apparently some of the William and Zilpha Larimore children changed the spelling of it to Laramore and Larrimore .
