Jay R. EMAHISER, retired livestock dealer and a former vice president and director of the Akron Exchange State Bank, died at 3:30 p.m. Friday, January 2, 1976, in Woodlawn hospital, where he was admitted Dec. 23, following a heart attack. He was 88 years of age.

Mr. Emahiser resided at Manitou Manor in Rochester, moving here six years ago from
Akron.

He was born in Mount Gilead, Ohio, April 6, 1887 to A. C. and Mary EMAHISER. He was married to Valura Emma PATTERSON, who died Dec. 17, 1971.

Mr. Emahiser attended the Akron United Methodist church.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. A. M. (Mary) PRICE, Rochester; a son, William J. [EMAHISER], Richmond, Va.; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Three brothers and two sisters preceded in death.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home with the Revs. Paul B. STEPHENSON and John MOORE officiating. Burial will be in the Akron I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today.
