Mrs. Lelia Anthony, 74, widow of the Rev. Alex H. Anthony, was found dead at 3 p.m. Sunday in the kitchen of her home, 2129 Morton Ave., New Albany. Dr. C. E. Briscoe, deputy coroner of Floyd Co., said death was caused by a heart attack. Mrs. Anthony apparently had started toward a laundry basket in the kitchen when she was stricken. A neighbor found her body. The Rev. Mr. Anthony died March 2 at St. Edward's Hospital of burns suffered when his clothes ignited from a stove before which he was sleeping. Mrs. Anthony suffered slight burns and shock in putting out the fire in his clothing. - New Albany Tribune 22 Mar 1937
