OBITUARY Iron River Reporter May 4 1983 "Obituaries: Muriel Anderson"
IRON RIVER-Muriel Anderson, 59, of 10 Cayuga St., died after a brief illness on April 28 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn.
The former Muriel Lundquist was born Aug. 20, 1923 in Ironwood, where she attended school, graduating in 1941. On June 2, 1946 she married Harold T. Anderson in Ironwood. He died on Nov. 5, 1981.
Mrs. Anderson was an active member of First Baptist Church of Iron River, serving as the church organist for over 30 years. She was also a member of the Woman's Missionary Society of the church.
Surviving are a foster son Danny Byczek of Stambaugh; three daughters, Mrs. Delbert (Janet) Shaver and Shirley Yantis, both of Casper, Wyo., and Mrs. Brian (Wendy) Koski of Iron River; three brothers, Leroy Lundquist of Rochester, Minn., Kenneth Lundquist of Appleton, Wis. and Earl Erickson of Northfield. Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. Art (Evelyn) Everett of Bledsoe, Ky. and Edna Johnson of Iron River; and nine grandchildren.
A son Keith died in 1961, and a brother Archie also preceded her in death.
Visitation was held on Sunday, May 1 at the Duvall-Jacobs Funeral Home.
Services were held on Monday, May 2 at the First Baptist Church. The Rev. Albert Stroh, pastor, officiated.
Music was provided by the Ladies Trio of the Faith Baptist Church of Crystal Falls and Carol Powers, organist.
Pallbearers were Harold Jewell, Royal Hazel, Howard Wilks, Talcott Shaver, and Marshall and Jeff Johnson.
Burial was in Iron River City Cemetery.
