Ada Christina Sims was born in South Stoneham in 1862. She was the daughter of Harriet nee Lansley and Henry Sims. In 1881 she was living in Park View Putney London in the home of John Wilkinson who was a dining room keeper. She was employed as a Parlour Maid. Ada married Frank Bessent in St James West End Southampton on 1st November 1890. Frank was in the Royal Navy. In 1891 they were living at Burrow Island Portsmouth Harbour. Their daughter Lilian Ada was born in August 1892 and died 4 days later. Ada died in August 1892 and was buried 4 days after her baby Lilian on 9 August 1892. Burial No-372.
