Here is the obituary of Mrs. Pepper, widow of Clyde Pepper:

Powell Tribune no. 8 May 01, 1914, page 1:

MRS CLYDE V. PEPPER DEAD

Mrs. Clyde V. Pepper died Wednesday morning about five o'clock at the Kelley Ranch on the North Fork, of tuberculosis.

Mrs. Pepper had been afflicted with this malady for over a year, and the end was not unexpected. Following the tragic death of her husband a few months ago, Mrs. W. M. Scott, the mother of Mrs. Pepper, took her daughter for a trip to Colorado and Arizona in the hope that the change of climate would be beneficial. The plan seemed not to be successful, and they returned home. Since that time, Mrs. Pepper had been gradually becoming weaker.

The deceased was a young woman of rare beauty, both physically and spiritually. She made for herself a place in the hearts of her friends that will never be filled, and her untimely death will be a severe shock to her mother and her friends.

Besides her mother, Mrs. Pepper leaves a young son, about two years of age, and a stepson of seven. The latter had been living with his grandparents at Powell since the death of Mr. Pepper. – Cody Enterprise
