Funeral service for Frederick E. Butt, 66, retired florist, a wholesale nursery and greenhouse operator, will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Colonial mortuary. Burial will be at Riverview cemetery, Rev. Donald E. Colburn of the Metzger Methodist church will officiate.

Mr. Butt died at his home, 2130 S.W. Taylors Ferry road, Saturday. He was born at Park Place April 1, 1890, and was educated at the Oregon Agricultural college.

For a number of years he worked as engineer and master mechanic for the Chelan Copper Mining company in Washington, for two years as master mechanic for Timberline lodge, two year as instructor in diesel engineering at Adcox trade school in Portland, for ten years as a florist in Independence and the last few years as owner and operator of a wholesale and nursery and greenhouse in Portland.

He was a member of the Lion Masonic lodge in Independence.

Surviving are the widow, Vivien; two daughters, Mrs. Ed Goetz;. Portland, and Mrs. Charles Bone, Kalispell, and four grandchildren.
