He was born Jan. 22, 1946, in Toledo, the son of Alonzo and Wilma (Doramus) Lane. In 1976, he married Barbara Sellgren, who survives.
He was a food inspector for Classic Food Products, retiring in 1989, and a U.S. Army veteran.
Also surviving are a daughter, Kimberly; and two sisters, three brothers and two granddaughters.
Preceding him in death were his parents and 11 siblings.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan, with military rites accorded by Bryan VFW Post. There is no visitation. Handling arrangements is Burr Funeral Home and Crematory, Bryan.
Preferred memorials are to a charity of the donors choice.
