Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at Strong Tower Worship Center in Ellisville. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery in Jones County. Rev. Dan Atkinson will officiate. The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Monday.

Mr. Chandler was a retired Mississippi Highway Patrol and a Jones County Deputy Sheriff. He served in the U. S. Navy. He was a member of Strong Tower Worship Center in Ellisville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover Van Chandler and Hettie Mildred Green Chandler; a sister, Catherine Smith, and granddaughter, Michelle Del Rio.

Mr. Chandler is survived by his wife, Pamela L. Chandler of Ellisville; four sons, Allen Chandler, and wife Sheri, of Ellisville, Ernest Chandler of Ellisville, Howard Chandler and wife Kelly, of Ellisville, and Bill Chandler and wife Joanna, of Sumrall; three daughters, Nina Del Rio and husband Thomas, of Laurel, Angie Bordelon of Ellisville, and Sharlynn Clark of Houston, Texas; four sisters, Candice Elizabeth Royals of Meridian, Carolyn Johnson, of Mize, Norma Rose Jones of Columbia, and Thelma Jane Craft of Taylorsville; 14 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Sons and sons-in-law and Larry Dykes will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny McDuffy, Donald Miller and Adam Cochran.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel
