The death angel came quitely into the home of Mrs. Mary Evalean Gowen and took her body to heaven . She was the daughter of the late Mr. Scott Ervin & Mrs. Matilda Meadows Ervin. Mary was born in Green County, September 28, 1907 She professed faith in Christ at an early age. She was united in marriage to Eunice Gowen, August 10, 1924. To this union 4 daughters and 1 son were born. She was a wonderful mother to all her children , who she adored so much. Her family was everything to her, and she knew that one day she would leave them . Surviving besides husband, are Finis Gowen, Mrs. Doris Price, Miss Carolyn Gowen, Miss Charlotte Gowen; 1 brother, W.C. Ervin, Towanda, IL; 1 half-brother John Ervin, Indianapolis, IN; 4 half-sisters, Mrs. Rachel Hook, Columbia, IN, Miss Ray Jean Ervin, Columbia, IN, Miss Elizabeth Ervin and Miss Thelma Ervin, and 3 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 24 at Full Gospel Tabernacle, Campbellsville. Rev. Martin was in charge. Burial was in the church cemetery.Pallbearers were Vester Ennis, Cecil Simpson, Curtis Price, C.G. Simpson, Boyce Davis and Hervy Arnett.
