Fulton Gazette-1892:

Married, October 25, in this city at the residence of the brides mother, Mrs. Caroline McCarroll, by Reverend Dr. Marquess, Mr. Emil Neukomm and Miss Mattie McCarroll.

Quite a number of relatives and friends were present and congradulation were showered upon the young couple after the beautiful and impressive ceremony.

The bride wore a simple white mull dress, trimmed in Valenciennes lace, bouquet of Marechal Neil roses. The groom wore a conventional black suit.


The Missouri Telegraph-1914:

The Neukomm clothing store was visited by burglars sometime Saturday night. Entrance was gained through the back door by breaking a glass and reaching through and opening the door, the key having been left on the inside of the lock.

Several boxes of underwear and other boxes had been opened but the proprietor could not say whether anything but the money had been taken or not.

The burglary was kept quiet for a few days to see if any trace of the burglars could be found. It is believed to be the work of amateurs.

A number of Fulton families, including Mr. and Mrs. Emil Neukomm and family, who have a picnic every year spent Friday on an outing at Smith's Crossing on the Auxvasse Creek. They left early Friday morning in automobiles and spent the forenoon catching fish for dinner.

Under the management of Masters Frederick Neukomm and Billy Dunavant, both of whom have big brothers in the nations military service, the kids of St. Louis Avenue and Center Street gave a "circus" at the home of E.E. Neukomm.

Gate receipts, amounting to $2.24 were turned over to the Red Cross, an organization in which the youngsters have a keen interest.

Assisting with the circus were Syndey Crews Smith, Doris and Conway Dunavant, Martha Lutz and Louise Cowan. The program consisted of slack rope walking, bronco busting, balloon ascension, stunts by clowns and tableaus. red lemonade added to the flavor of the performance.

Frederick Emil Neukomm, 67, of Fulton, died at 4:00am on February 8, 1930 at his home.

Dr. Green D. McCall, of Fulton, pronounced death caused by Stenosis, Aortic, Myocarditis and Arteriosclerosis, both Valves, contributed to by Cardiac Hypertrophy. The informant was Fred W. Neukomm of Fulton.

Mr. Neukomm was born August 29, 1871, in Fulton, the son of John J. and Kuigunda (Lang) Neukomm, both born in Switzerland. He was united in marriage to Maratha McCarrol and she survives. Mr. Neukomm was a clothing merchant.

Arrangements were under the care of Glen Y. Maupin of Fulton. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery..
