There seems to be some question regarding the veracity of her birthdate. A number of sources indicate that Rachel was baptized April 2, 1775 whereas I posted the May 13, 1775 birthdate. In reviewing this issue, I can no longer find the documentation I used for the May date. I have, however, found three sources for the April baptismal date. Therefore, I am changing her birthdate to April 2, 1775. If possible, I would have recorded the date as "before April 2, 1775" under the guise that one can't be baptized before being born. I suspect that Rachel's actual birth date might have been March, 13, 1775 and whoever read the original handwritten record confused "May" with "Mar."
