Ora Esther Allen Bowman, 91, of Danville, died September 11, 2011 at Danville Medical Center. Born in Carroll County, on December 22, 1919, she was the daughter of Thomas Walter Allen and Ceili Ayers Allen. She was married to Wise M. Bowman who predeceased her. She was a member of Welcome Baptist Church. She retired from Dan River, Inc. She is survived by a son, Doug Bowman, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by a son, Maxie Bowman, five brothers and three sisters.
Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.
