Darwin Crumb, former Rockford lumber merchant, died in Oak Park yesterday, aged 74 years. Funeral services will be held in Oak Park Friday and the body wll be brought to Rockford for burial. Interment will be made in West Side cemetery. Mr. Crumb was the last of a family of three brothers and one sister who came west from New York about 1870. The brothers were engaged in the lumber business in Northern Illinois for many years. The other brothers were R. W. Crumb and B. L. Crumb and the sister was Mrs. Josephine Clark. The old family home was in Otsego county, New York. Darwin Crumb had made his home in Oak Park for a number of years, although up to a short time ago he retained his property here. He leaves a widow, one daughter, Mrs. Maude C. Rundell and a son, William H. Crumb.
