JOHN PEYTON CRAFT of Lexington died Thursday, September 19, 1991. He was 81, and had lived at The Mayflower for the past 3 1/2 years. Prior to that, he resided for 18 years at Route 1, Glasgow. Mr. Craft was born in Greenville on June 12, 1910. He was married to Martha Hickman Craft. A member of Trinity United Methodist Church, he was a retired painter at the Quantico Marine Base. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one brother, S. Stuart Craft, Jr. of Newburg, MD., and one sister, Anna Francis Craft of Cloverdale.
The funeral was conducted by the Rev. James B. Grimmer at Harrison Funeral Chapel on Saturday, September 21. Burial followed in Stonewall Jackson Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Trinity United Methodist Church.
