MRS. MINNIE ALTHOUSE
SIBLEY - Mrs. Minnie R. Althouse, 73, died in Fairbury Hospital at 10:40 p.m. Thursday. She had been a patient at the hospital for two days and had been in ill health for several years.
The body was taken to the Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, and will be returned to the family residence here at 1 p.m. Saturday. A short prayer service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Methodist Church with the Rev. Leslie Stewart church pastor officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery here.
Mrs. Althouse was born May 22, 1877 in Avoca Township, Livingston county, daughter of James and Margaret Brandt Johnson. She was married Jan. 19 1897 to Charles Althouse. They lived in and near Sibley all their married life. Mr. Althouse died two years ago.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Ella Skinner of Sibley; Henry Witt who made his home with them since a young boy, and several nieces and nephews.
One sister and one brother preceded her in death.
