BRATTLEBORO, VT - Ruth E. Thayer Broutsas died Tuesday, January 10, 2006, at Grace Cottage Hospital in Townshend.
She was born March 25, 1919, in Williamsville, the daughter of Porter C. Thayer and Edith Webster Thayer.
Mrs. Broutsas graduated from Brattleboro High School in 1937.
She was a licensed practical nurse and a dental assistant. She enjoyed genealogy and was a member of the New England Historic Genealogy Society.
In 1939, she married Frank H. Page who died in 1959. In 1962, she married John M. Broutsas who died in 2002.
She is survived by a son, Edward O. Page (Barbara) of Hamilton, NY, and a daughter, Patricia C. Levesque (Raymond) of Westborough, MA; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Maxine Thayer of Readsboro; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass was celebrated at Saint Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Brattleboro on Saturday at 11 am. Interment was to be at Hartford Cemetery in White River Junction in the spring.
