Willis Todd Alger, age 73 of Lampasas, Texas died Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas. Willis was born September 18, 1938 in West Suffield, Connecticut, the son of Willis William Alger and Rita (Guertin) Alger.

Willis served in the United States Army, and retired as a C-W 4. He also owned a donut store, a water store, a video store, and a trucking operation. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lampasas, and a resident of Lampasas since 1985. Willis married Caroline Harrison in 1961. She preceded him in death in 2007. He married Trudy Niedoba in 2008.

Survivors include: Wife; Trudy Alger; Sons: Willis "Chip" Alger and wife Bonnie, William "Bill" Alger and wife Angela, Wayne Alger and wife Vernell, Waylon Alger and wife Rene; Daughter: Michelle D. Lumpkins and husband Greg; Step-children: Alan Alexander and wife Sharon, Mary Uhl and husband Duane, Johnnie Alexander Jr. and wife Angela, Paty Sauer and husband Kenny, Monika Haegelin and husband Fred; Sister; Mickie Halpin and husband Don; 27 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Willis was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Caroline, sisters Peggy LaFountaine, Pat Peczka, and Jean Boyer, and a brother, William Reddin.
